I built the Bucks Cup to solve that. It's a heavy-duty automatic electric suction cup that holds a 90-inch fishing umbrella directly onto the panel you're working on. No tripods, no cable ties, no bodging it with a mate holding it steady. Just stick it on and get back to work.

It keeps the rain off while you're prepping, and when the sun's hammering the panel and the paint won't bite — or you simply can't read the dents clearly — it shades the area down so you can actually get the job done. Won't replace a gazebo for a full setup, but out on the road when you need to crack on, it's the difference between getting it done and packing up and coming back.

I use this every single time I'm working outdoors. It didn't make it onto the store until I was sure it earned its place.
